Morgan Freeman: On the Road to Recovery

Following his involvement in a serious car accident on Sunday night, Morgan Freeman is slowly but surely recovering after undergoing surgery to reconnect nerves and repair damage in his left hand.
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the 71-year-old Academy Award-winning actor was listed in serious condition after his car careened off of the highway and overturned twice before landing upright in a ditch.
The Dark Night star was removed from his vehicle by the “Jaws of Life” and was then life-flighted to a Memphis hospital.
According to the latest reports, Morgan was up and about and visiting with family members after his four hour surgery yesterday (August 4). He is expected to be released in a few days.

The Hollywood twin baby boom keeps churning along, as Lisa Marie Presley is the latest celebrity to be welcoming twins into the world in the near future.
Lisa Marie’s mom, Priscilla, confirmed the news to Entertainment Tonight, saying:”She wanted it really to be kept a secret for a long time.”
Continuing on, Priscilla added: “And I think women should, because they should be able to announce what they’re having and when it’s time to make the announcement.”
Of the due date, a source told Us magazine that “Presley, 40, and her husband, rocker Michael Lockwood, 47, will greet their babies in the fall.”
Jennifer Aniston Talks Happiness

Doing her best to avoid having her picture taken by paparazzi on the scene, Jennifer Aniston was spotted out visiting a friend in the Hollywood Hills area earlier this afternoon (August 5).
The former “Friends” star has been biding what has become a much more plentiful amount of free time with boyfriend John Mayer off on the road, as he has a show in Indiana tonight, followed by gigs in Michigan and Toronto, Canada.
Meanwhile, in related news, Jen recently participated in what’s become a rare interview, talking for awhile with Star magazine.
When asked what makes her happy at this point in life, Aniston replied: “A sunset makes me happy. Really silly things, like being with my friends with a bottle of wine and some nice cheese.”
But one thing that’s surely missing from her “happiness” list is confrontation, as she tells: “I hate arguments. I don’t like bad feelings between people. I hate negativity. You have to have a positive approach to life.”
Reese Witherspoon Shops Stella McCartney

Taking advantage of the summertime California sunshine, Reese Witherspoon stepped out for a shopping trip to Stella McCartney in Hollywood on Wednesday (August 5).
With her sunglasses propped atop her head, the “Legally Blonde” babe carefully combed the racks with the help of a female assistant before making her final selections.
Meanwhile, in relationship news, reps for Reese, 32, and her “Rendition” co-star boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, 27, have dismissed reports that the duo are planning to marry this December.
“They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports,” the couples’ rep told People magazine.
The rumors of wedding bells all started after Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper reported that “Gyllenhaal told his pals that he would marry his Oscar-winning girlfriend around his birthday on December 19.”
Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson’s Miami Beach Stroll

Continuing along with their vacation in southern Florida, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were all smiles as they were spotted out for a stroll in Miami Beach on Tuesday (August 5).
The BFF/rumored lovers arrived in the sunshine state yesterday afternoon, following a weekend in Chicago for Lollapalooza and a one-day stay back home in Los Angeles.
As previously reported by Gossip Girls, LiLo and Sam spent their first day of vacation hanging out by the Delano hotel pool with about a dozen Ronson family members.
Of the scene, an onlooker told People magazine: “Everyone was having a good time. Lindsay and Sam were very comfortable with the group around. You can tell they’re so in love. Lindsay seemed to really fit in. It seemed like everyone really likes her.”

They say you only get one shot on Broadway, and Katie Holmes looks to be taking things very seriously as she maintains a rigorous rehearsal schedule.
And the “Dawson’s Creek” darling was spotted arriving once again on Tuesday morning (August 5) for more work on her current stage gig, a Broadway production of “All My Sons.”
Holmes looked cute and casual in a white top underneath a short sleeved white cardigan sweater with a pair of belted jeans and some brown flats.
With just a month and a half until the preview shows begin (September 18th) Katie is taking all of the necessary measures to make sure she’s ready to make a big splash this fall.

Back home after a weekend trip down to South Beach, a growingly pregnant Jennifer Garner has eased back into her normal routine of running around town with her little girl.
The former “Alias” actress was spotted out with the always-darling Violet Affleck earlier today (August 5), with the duo going shopping for toys at the Country Mart in Brentwood.
As for her voyage to southern Florida, Jen was in the sunshine state with hubby Ben Affleck in support of presidential candidate Barack Obama.
During a Saturday night fundraiser, Garner offered up the first speech, with an onlooker telling: “She was very witty, clever and funny. She was followed by her husband Ben, then Matt Damon. The men gave serious political speeches on how the country needs change.”

While fans wait until Monday night to watch all of the action at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, Hollywood’s hottest celebs were on-hand for the taping of the annual awards show at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (August 3).
“Hannah Montana” starlet Miley Cyrus played host at the 10th annual running of the event, which showered celebrities with dozens of surfboard trophies in film, TV, music, sports and fashion categories.
And the turnout was better than could have been imagined, with participants and spectators including everyone from Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez and Lauren Conrad to Blake Lively, Rachel Bilson and the Beckhams.

Ashley Tisdale and Jared Murillo: Dental Date

Showing off her tanned self, Ashley Tisdale was spotted out with her beau Jared Murillo for a trip to a dental practice near Six Flags Magic Mountain in California on Monday (August 4).
Following their tooth cleaning outing, Tizzie then dropped her High School Musical co-star/boyfriend back off at her house while she headed to Hollywood, carrying a pair of pink sneakers with her.
Meanwhile, if you missed Ashley appearing alongside fellow Disney stars Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers on the song and dance special for Disney Channel’s “Studio DC: Almost Live,” which premiered on Sunday, there are plenty of other chances to catch Ms Tisdale in action.
Disney Channel will be airing the Muppet special tomorrow (August 5) at 1:55pm, with encore presentations to follow at 5:00pm and 8:50pm.
